About ESL

Our company, ESL – Language Studies Abroad, is headquartered in Montreux, Switzerland, where we also own a French language school. We also have additional offices in Switzerland, as well as in Sweden, Panama, France, and Italy. Our group specializes in the organization of language excursions abroad, providing access to courses in 11 languages, in over 40 countries. The languages we currently offer are: Learning Spanish in Spain and abroad, English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Greek. We cater to a wide range of clients, including both children and adults, students and executives. Our language school affiliates are personally selected, ensuring that we only work with fully accredited and well known schools.

     

Our language programmes

1. The junior language programs are intended for children and young adults, between the ages of eight and nineteen. The permitted ages, however, vary for each destination, with groups being made up of young people of about the same age. In general, our junior programs take place in the spring, summer, and fall; ranging in length between two to four weeks. However, there are also two long-term programs: language course Berlin (24 or 36 weeks); and language study Eastbourne language study Eastbourne (from 2 to 36 weeks). The language courses are given in the mornings, while diverse activities such as day trips, sports, and games are organized for the afternoons. During their stay, all students are under 24 hour supervision by the team of professionals at the school.

In addition, some family programs exist for juniors aged 8 to 17 in Malta. These programs offer the opportunity for the whole family, parents and children, to study English while spending time together.

Young people having difficulty learning a language may also choose a specially-adapted program: language courses at the teachers home. This program is intended for students aged 14 and over and the available destinations are: England, Scotland, Malta, Ireland, Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa.

2. The adult programs consist basically of language education abroad. Students may select courses, lengths ranging from 2 to 48 weeks, commencing almost* every Monday throughout the year. It is possible to study a language exclusively, or combine the schooling with an internship, paid job, volunteer work experience, or career training (professional / university programs). Our ‘adult’ category outlines the options short term stays (2 to 12 weeks), while our ‘gap year’ category contains the details of our long term course offerings.

* Some specialized programs (internationally recognised certificate preparation courses, business courses, internships etc.) commence on specific dates.

3. The executive language courses are tailor made to assist students in addressing both personal and professional language needs. All teachers have extensive experience in business related language, with course instruction offered in small groups or individual lessons.

ESL provides guidance and service throughout the entire language education process. First, we council prospective students regarding our diverse language program offerings, helping them make the best choice, in accordance with their goals, needs, and wishes. We then look after the organization of the entire trip, including flights, visas, enrolment in school, and more. After the programs have concluded, we diligently review all feedback in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
